This is where any Allowances which are only relevant to an employee's Secondary Role are added and maintained.
All Allowance and Deduction records added to an employee will be displayed in the Allow/Deduct screen in the Administration module. In drilling-down on a record in this screen, two fields are available to determine which Roles the Allowance applies to:
Role Code - If this field is populated with an employee's Secondary Role Code, then the Allowance is only relevant to that Role. If this field is populated with the Role Code from the employee's Costing screen, then it is only relevant to the Primary Role.
Apply Costing to all Roles - If the Role Code field is empty, this field will be available for some Classifications. If populated with a Y, any amount paid against the Allowance will be split for Costing purposes based on the number of hours paid in the payrun against each Role. The Costings from each Role will then be applied to each portion of the split.
The Apply Costing to all Roles field is only available for Classifications:
1 Before Tax Earnings
2 Non-Taxable Earnings
N Non-Contributory $
Q Non-Contributory % of ASG
S Non-Contributory % of linked earnings or gross
